Basic Productivity Tips
Lets start with health!!!
I just wanted to go over a few starting points I feel that have helped me in regards to getting more out of your day. First and foremost lets start with health. A good starting point for getting more out of your day is to stay healthy. Its not in techniques to help maximize time and energy but taking good care of your health is a primary thing to focus on when trying to get the most out of your day. Lets face it, in today’s fast paced world of change the only thing that is constant is the need to be highly energized and that means year after year, day after day and the cumulative effects of lack of proper health habits do add up. If you are not careful it can lead to less productive days, which means less energy. Burn out is a serious issue as well, and you need to make getting proper nutrition, rest, sleep, relaxation and exercise a priority.
What do you do if you simply don’t have the time or energy to do so? Well, that is where this website comes in, and to be open I do have a store with Isagenix as well in which you can buy some meal replacement shakes which I mention because these are handy to have around for days where you feel you simply do not have time to make a proper meal. Meal replacement shakes are a great way to get around that lack of time and energy to make a healthy meal. I highly recommend having this around if not for anything than for times where you are so stretched for time these meal replacement shakes offer a ton of nutrition from an incredibly high quality company that uses the best ingredients to make these.
Now, something I have personally learned in the past few years is that managing energy which is related to health is the key to maximum productivity, and managing time is secondary but that is my opinion and observation with increasing your productivity throughout the day.
Double Your Time During The Day: Multitasking
The next best way to increase your daily productivity is to multitask whenever possible. The situations in which you do this will be different for everyone though. Here are some of the things which most people do.
1.) Talk on the phone while walking — Get your walk in and return calls during this time.
2.) Audiobooks while driving — Use your commute time to learn.
3.) Answer emails and messages while in between sets at the gym (I know this is a bit out there, but you get what I mean)
Try to find interesting ways to multitask and this effectively doubles your energy and time during the day.
Use To Do Lists Sparingly
I used to have to do lists but one issue I found with this is that they sometimes didn’t work for me. I have found that they mostly work when I feel a bit overwhelmed with the sheer amount of small things that you have to get done that day. Our brains can only remember in short term memory about 6 to 7 things on average, so that meant that if you have more than about that number of things to do everyday you may need to start writing them down. Added to this is that I have found that for myself I write down all the things I have to do, then put them in order. Doing this makes is much more streamlined in my opinion. This can work wonders but not necessary for myself on a daily basis though.
If You Do Not Own Computer Or Smartphone Get One
This is for those of you who do not own a computer or smartphone. I highly recommend getting one if you do not already have one. Contrary to all the time sapping things that you can do if you are living in todays world without a computer or smartphone you are totally missing out on some of the most highly productive tools available. Just be sure to use them wisely as using apps such as tik tok or some others can totally drain your ability to get things done.
I think that will be all for now, I hope you have enjoyed reading this and there will be more to come!
